Part-time Weekend (Sat/Sun shifts) Caregiver in Roanoke, TX

We are looking for a Professional Caregiver to join our team! We always need help on the weekends! You will be directly working with elderly clients, one-on-one, following a care plan in their home or apartment.

Our Comfort Keepers operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those they serve.

Patience, flexibility and strong verbal communication skills are needed to succeed in this role.

Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist patients with mobility such as moving in and out of beds, baths/showers, wheelchairs, or automobiles safely 
• Help clients stay independent by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning dishes
• Assisting with personal care - bathing, hygiene, dressing, toileting/incontinence
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor / care coordinator 
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud, pursuing hobbies & interests to help keep them from being isolated 
• Engage patients in basic exercises or stretching

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED 
• 2 years prior experience with seniors
• Driver’s license required 
• Reliable vehicle required 
• Smart phone
