As a caregiver, you will allow seniors the comfort of receiving non-medical care in the familiarity of their own home. In addition to helping older adults maintain their health and well-being, you will work to provide them with positive experiences that enhance the quality of their lives.

Positions are currently available at our Blair County office, located at 224 Cherry Aly, Holidaysburg, PA. Our office serves Blair County, so travel to surrounding areas may be required.

Responsibilities for Caregivers:

• Establish open communication and develop friendly relationships with seniors and their families
• Help older adults with daily tasks such as light housekeeping and organization
• Accompany seniors to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Organize transportation, ambulation, and transfers
• Encourage activity and movement
• Inspire a positive, can-do attitude when it comes to daily tasks, appointments, and hobbies
• Maintain a trusting and comforting environment in the home

Qualifications for Caregivers:

• Genuine concerned about helping people
• Excellent business and personal references
• Valid Driver's License, Automobile Insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Permission to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
• Background check required
• Must accept responsibility for learning and adhering to Comfort Keepers policies and procedures, be able to function in the home setting with minimal direct supervision and maintain satisfactory relationships with administrative staff, clients, and family members

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY, just your dedication to providing quality service and your caring heart are required. However, strong consideration will be given to candidates with previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar positions.
