Part-time Weekend Caregiver in Hood County (Sat. & Sun. days)

We are looking for a Professional Caregiver to join our team! We always need help on the weekends in Granbury! Immediate hrs at 24/7 client. You will be directly working with elderly patients, one-on-one, following a care plan in client homes or apartments.

Patience, strong verbal communication skills, and flexibility are needed to succeed in this role with seniors. 

Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is required. Dementia experience required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist patients with mobility such as moving in and out of beds, baths/showers, wheelchairs, or automobiles safely 
• Help clients stay independent by changing bed linens, doing laundry, washing dishes
• Assisting with personal care - bathing, hygiene, dressing, toileting/incontinence
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor / care coordinator 
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud, pursuing hobbies & interests to help keep them from being isolated 
• Engage patients in basic exercises or stretching

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED 
• 2 years prior experience with seniors
• Driver’s license required 
• Reliable vehicle required 
• Smart phone
