Caregiver / Home Health Aide - Urgent Need

Comfort Keepers is looking for home health aids, certified nursing assistants, caregivers, companions, and attendants to travel to our elderly clients' homes and residential facilities to provide non-medical, in-home support. Our caregivers are not only hard-working, dependable, and skilled, but also compassionate. Our home health aides and caregivers provide both companion care and hands-on personal care; we seek to "Elevate the Human Spirit."

The hourly wage is between $14 - $18 per hour, plus great benefits!*

CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Providing companionship and conversation 
• Assisting with activities of daily living ("ADLs") - these are personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and transfers 
• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing 
• Laying out clothes and assisting with dressing 
• Planning and preparing meals 
• Providing medication reminders 
• Providing transportation to and from Dr. appointments, pharmacy, grocery store 
• Documentation & notes on sleep, diet, behavior, changes in condition 

HOME HEALTH AIDE MIN. JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect 
• Ability to deliver & document the client's provided plan of care 
• Valid driver's license  
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance 
• Patient, ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations 
• Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats) 
• Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and/or emergencies 
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs 
• Smartphone 
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, is a plus!
