Accounts Payable Clerk

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about maintaining accurate financial records? Comfort Keepers is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management:
  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify invoice details, including amounts, terms, and payment deadlines.
• Payment Processing:
  • Schedule and prepare payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies for payment approvals.
• Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and promptly resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate payment records and vendor correspondence.
• Vendor Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to address inquiries and payment issues.
  • Monitor vendor accounts for aging balances and overdue payments.
• Reporting and Compliance:
  • Prepare accounts payable reports, including aging summaries and payment forecasts.
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance/accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Office-based position.
• Regular activities include walking, sitting, and standing, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Extended time working on a computer and telephone.
