Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CNA to join our caregiving team for OKC location. The CNA will be responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living, companionship, and emotional support to our clients in the comfort of their homes or in assisted living or memory care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to help seniors, good communication skills, and the ability to adapt to various behavior situations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide assistance with mobility, transferring, and re-positioning
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings as needed
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, office/RNs, family members, and other healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, positive, professional
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Home Aid Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to treat clients with compassion dignity and respect
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with auto insurance that is willing to drive 20-30 minutes for a shift
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Tolerate small pets like cats and dogs in client's homes
- Readily available via phone or email to receive shift schedules, client's updates and promptly respond to any urgent matters or emergencies
- Experience with Alzheimer's & Dementia and senior care is preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
