Job Summary:
We are responsible for providing non-medical, in-home, support services which may include providing comfort, safety, general supervision, and home management assistance or companion, sitter or respite services.
This is a non-exempt, part-time position with variable hours dependent on client requirements.
Responsibilities
● Performs duties as assigned on the plan of care.
● Treat the client with respect and compassion at all times.
● Provide socialization, conversation, and emotional reassurance to the client.
● Ensures a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
● Provides light housekeeping tasks such as washing and drying clothing and linens, making the bed,
vacuuming/sweeping/mopping, cleaning counters, washing dishes, dusting, cleaning high-touch surfaces.
● Assists in meeting nutritional needs by grocery shopping and planning/preparing meals and snacks.
● Reminders only for clients to take self-administered medications.
● Report any observed changes to the client’s home situation or mental, physical, or emotional health to the
leadership team as soon as safe to do so.
● Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family
members, and co-workers.
● Participates in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as
requested by the leadership team.
● Completes required documentation of services delivered and submits to the office in a timely manner
according to the policy.
● Maintains confidentiality regarding client information at all times.
● Pet care is limited to providing food, water, and enabling pets to exit the house safely under the
supervision of clients.
● Water plants, as needed.
● Other reasonable tasks, as assigned.
Requirements
● Companionship and/or Personal Care experience.
● A passion for the job and genuine desire to help others.
● Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel.
● Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid Driver’s License.
● Ability to pass background checks.
● Must pass drug testing.
● Must not have any findings on NC Nurse Registry
● Must obtain an updated TB test and provide a copy of the test results
● Must complete Hepatitis B vaccination acceptance/declination form and provide a copy of series
completion certificate.
● May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.re seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care and support healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take vital signs and record patient information
- Provide basic life support and assist with medical procedures
- Support patient service by responding to call lights promptly
- Assist in dementia care for patients with memory impairments
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals in hospital or nursing home settings
- Lift and transfer patients safely when needed
- Provide care for seniors or individuals in critical care units
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or similar healthcare environment is preferred
- Familiarity with patient care systems and electronic health records like eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Experience in senior care, critical care, or dementia care is beneficial
