Our Philosophy of Care

As a Comfort Keeper, you will be working one-on-one with seniors to assist with personal care, housekeeping, companionship, and transportation needs.  However, what really makes our team true to their name is their ability to also care for a senior's physical, mental, nutritional, and safety needs.  These are necessary to help them live a higher quality life, and possibly extend their independence.  We call it Interactive Caregiving, and it is at the heart of everything we do.

Comfort Keepers is a national home care agency that provides in-home care for seniors at many locations throughout the United States. Comfort Keepers is an established agency with a reputation for excellent customer service and caring for aging adults. We specialize in creating customized care plans for seniors in the comfort of their own homes. Our holistic approach to care is unique because we understand that no two clients are alike. Therefore, each client will have tailor-made services to suit their needs. We seek to hire part-time and full-time caregivers for clients in Bethlehem, PA, and the surrounding areas. If you live in Bethlehem or any surrounding area, consider applying for a caregiver position at Comfort Keepers Bethlehem. We need candidates ready to make a difference in the lives of our senior clients. Outstanding candidates are potential employees interested in caregiver jobs in the healthcare industry.

Our caregivers (also known as Comfort Keepers) are well-trained to exhibit high empathy and compassion for our clients. In addition, our caregivers must show clients understanding, kindness, and patience. Our Senior Care Advisors consult with our clients to connect them with compatible caregivers. Ideally, the job of a caregiver, or "comfort keeper," is not just to perform menial tasks. Caregivers must be able to provide companionship, or what we call "Interactive Caregiving," for our clients. For example, if a caregiver provides interactive care, they will not just cook meals but also assist the client with choosing and preparing them. They will do household chores, but they will also engage in social interactions with the client. When families cannot regularly care for their loved ones, a caregiver who provides companion care and Interactive Caregiving brings family members peace of mind. They can rely on someone to provide for their aging relative's mental, physical, and social well-being. Comfort Keepers offers comfort to the clients as well as their loved ones. Comfort Keepers stands out among the competition as one of the top-rated companies for caregiver jobs.

Why should you become a caregiver?

At least 8.3% of adults age 65 or older will have some physical challenges that require assistance. Although most seniors do not require placement in an assisted living facility, these physical challenges can affect the quality of their daily life. Providing a caregiver allows them to maintain as much normalcy in their daily activities as possible. If you enjoy social interaction, helping others, and making a difference, consider working at Comfort Keepers as a caregiver. Clients will appreciate having someone helping them stay in the comfort of their own homes.

According to statistics researched by the Joint Center for Housing Studies, the population of single adults aged 80 or older will increase dramatically over the next decade. Approximately 31% of single adults in this age group are living alone with difficulties managing their everyday activities. In-home care for seniors is a growing sector of the healthcare industry. At Comfort Keepers, you will be working with a company that provides innovative services to meet the needs of this booming population.

What are the benefits of a caregiver job at Comfort Keepers?

Unlike other home care agencies, our employees at Comfort Keepers are not contracted but are part-time or full-time employees. Therefore, you can access all the benefits and perks a company employee would have. Plus, we offer many benefits that other agencies do not provide. For example, at Comfort Keepers, our employees are eligible for medical insurance, vision care, and dental care. Caregivers also qualify for paid time off. In addition, you can get paid through direct deposit, and we offer immediate payment programs. Comfort Keepers offers competitive pay rates. We want to ensure that our employees are taken care of and that retention levels are excellent. These are incentives that we know our caregivers need to be able to do their jobs well. Our seniors need caregivers who enjoy what they do consistently over extended periods of time. Therefore, we are about developing relationships with our clients. Our caregivers understand the importance of maintaining strong relationships.

Our working environments are casual and friendly. At Comfort Keepers, you will not be just another employee but a welcomed addition to our family. You will feel right at home as a member of the Comfort Keepers team. If you enjoy helping people as much as we do, you will be an excellent fit for our family of caregivers. We welcome social interaction, friendly conversations, and a positive attitude.

Your safety is of the utmost importance; all our caregivers are bonded and insured. We also provide workers' compensation in case of an injury or accident in the workplace. Your well-being and health are our priorities. We want to ensure that our caregivers can seek the treatment needed to return to work as soon as possible and care for our clients.

The work schedule is flexible for part-time and full-time caregivers. You can commute to work sites near your home or whichever locations are convenient for you. Because you will be assisting our clients with tasks such as transporting them to doctor's appointments and grocery shopping, the ideal candidate will be familiar with the geographic location of their client. However, there is no need to worry if you need assistance becoming familiar with the area. Our Senior Care Advisors will guide you every step of the way.
