Requirements

We typically search for individuals that are enthusiastic about helping others, committed, and trustworthy to work as elder care providers. Before applying to our at home caregiver jobs, please review the specific criteria we are looking for:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, or GED.
  • Care experience is a plus.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a clean motor vehicle driving record.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test. 
  • Valid South Carolina drivers license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

As a Comfort Keeper, you will assist your senior client with basic housekeeping, bathing, personal care, or more specialized care such as Alzheimer's care. All team members are educated to perform the following tasks: 

  • Develop and implement individualized senior care plans that suit the changing requirements of older clients.
  • Communicate with elderly clients and their family members openly and professionally.
  • Use their understanding of Columbia's local neighborhoods to keep elderly customers active and involved.
  • Provide specialized care for seniors with chronic conditions or illnesses.
